This article [J. Biomed. Opt. 17, 047005 (2012)] was originally published online on 18 April 2012 with errors in Eqs. (12) and (13): the exponent ( $2 m + 4$ ) in both equations has been changed to ( $2 m - 4$ ). The corrected equations are displayed below.

Eq. (12)

I_{∥} (λ) \propto λ^{(0.45 m - 0.033) (2 m - 4)} .

Eq. (13)

I_{⊥} (λ) \propto λ^{(0.246 m + 1.067) (2 m - 4)} .

The article was corrected online on 20 April 2012. It appears correctly in print.
