Abstract
A UV preionized TEA CO2 laser suitable for high-repetition-rate operation is developed that utilizes inductive ballasted sparks for UV radiation to produce preionization and a saturable inductor for delay between preionizer and main discharge. Optimization study of laser performance with respect to various parameters is presented.
