1 November 2005 Visual equivalence of light-emitting diode white light

Abstract
The current white LED color has a wide range of correlated color temperatures and varying distances to the Planckian locus, which cause different tints in the white color. This color variation keeps a number of illumination and indication applications away from LEDs. This article introduces a passive method, adding correction filters, to correct the color and achieve visual equivalence of LED white light. The efficiency of using correction filters is discussed.
