Abstract
A novel fragile watermarking scheme is proposed. This scheme not only can verify the authenticity and integrity of the video streams with fine granularity scalability, but also can reduce the size of bit streams after embedding fragile watermark information into the base-layer stream and the bit-plane coding symbol in the enhancement-layer stream. For clarifying the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, a series of experimental simulations were conducted. The results show that the scheme can detect tampering modification in the content of video streams and identify the locations at which these modifications have been made. Furthermore, the scheme can further reduce the average length of the compressed bit stream by about 12%.
