Abstract
Until now, coding of range gates suffers from a nonlinear error in erroneous coding sequences. It is shown that the use of codes based on Hamiltonian paths eliminates ambiguities within the sequences. In particular, the application of gray codes as multigate sequences was successfully investigated for error-free coding of range gates. Two different coding sequences based on 3-bit and 4-bit gray codes were applied to sample a three-dimensional imaging range of 1.8 and 4.2 m with superresolution with three and four sampling points.
