Professor of Physics and Optics. Expert in automotive image quality. 20 years of experience with optical technologies of all flavours, from fundamental quantum optics research to optical quality questions arising during assembly of 100.000 cameras per year.

In my research group at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf we are developing a novel numerical model for the point-spread function (PSF) of an optical system. The basic idea is to take a measured or simulated PSF, to numerically fit the model to the measurement and then be able to include this numerical model in other simulations.
