Profile Summary

Amber Iler is a principal scientist with over 20 years of experience in physics and astronomy and more than 18 years of industry experience in remote sensing. She received her BS degree in astronomy and music from the University of Michigan in 1994 and MS degrees in physics and astronomy, respectively, from Eastern Michigan University in 1996 and the University of Massachusetts in 1999. Throughout her career, Ms. Iler has specialized in exploitation of remote sensing technologies, particularly in the electro-optical and infrared (EOIR) wavelengths. Core programmatic experience for Ms. Iler extends from optical modeling and simulation through the full Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) lifecycle for EOIR sensors. She is the author of more than 15 scientific publications and is a U.S. patent holder. Her current research interests focus on EOIR physics, with special emphasis on exploitation of remote sensing imagery data.
