Profile Summary

As a post-doctoral fellow in the Optics & Photonics Lab, University of Michigan,I am investigating a newly discovered magneto-electric phenomena and family of non-linearities that is expected to enable conversion of solar energy to electric power, in various materials. My PhD work involved highly interdisciplinary research from investigation of diffusive behavior of micro-particles in confined geometry to design, optimization and fabrication of plasmonic devices which has the potential to become a global technology in future for integration of photonics with electronics .

• Multidisciplinary research experience in optics, nanophotonics, micro/nano-fabrication, optical detection / sensing, microfluidics, spectroscopy, modeling and integrated optics.
• Extensively worked in clean-room: photomask design, photolithography, e-beam, dry/wet etching, PVD, FIB, SEM and AFM.
• Experience in the design, fabrication and characterization of nano-photonic devices and micro-particles.
• Strong skills in optical-system design, characterization and optical system assembling.
• Experience in biological and chemical sensing using photonic/plasmonic devices.
• Experience in finite element simulation, stochastic simulations, numerical modeling and digital image processing.
• Developed stand-alone instrument control/automation, data collection and analysis.
• Computer skills – Matlab, Mathematica, Labview; Software: CST-MWStudio and COMSOL.
• Experience in scientific papers and proposal writing. Strong team work and communication skills.
