Born in Tehran, Iran, I completed both my B. Sc. and M. Sc. in the University of Tehran in Telecommunications in 2005 and 2008, respectively. I then studied properties and interactions of optical pulses in nonlinear media, particularly optical fibers and fiber Bragg gratings, gaining my PhD from the University of Sydney, Australia in 2014. Currently I teach Photonics to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Sydney. I am also actively looking for Postdoctoral positions in related areas.
