Course Instructor
SC311: Coherent Functional Imaging in Weakly Ordered Media: Biomedical Applications
This course introduces attendees to the basic principles of operation and system design methodology for functional imaging of tissues by the use of statistical analysis of scattered coherent light. It gives a systematized description of fundamental coherence phenomena appearing in multiple scattering and is the background for coherent functional imaging of tissues. The course also presents the instrumentation and principles of design of coherent functional imagers as well as basic methods and algorithms of data processing and tissue reconstruction. Each part of course is supported by practical examples to help you to become familiar with the design and applications of various types of coherent systems for functional imaging.
