Profile Summary

Francesco Dell’Olio received, in 2005 and 2010, his MS degree (cum laude) in Electronic Engineering and his PhD in Information Engineering both from the Politecnico di Bari, Italy. His research interests include the fields of integrated optical sensors, especially angular velocity and chemical sensors, silicon photonics, and InP-based photonic integrated circuits. He is the coauthor of a book published by Springer, 22 papers published in international refereed journals, and more than 40 papers published in conference proceedings. He has been involved in several research projects on miniaturized optical gyroscopes, optical links for data handling on-board of satellites, sensor systems for harsh environments monitoring, and electromagnetic field photonic sensors.
