Course Instructor
SC363: Structural Health Monitoring for Aircraft and Spacecraft Structures
This course is an overview of built-in structural health monitoring, with particular emphasis on piezoelectric-based health monitoring systems. The course discusses major issues concerning the development of structural health monitoring systems on sensor selection, network integration, and software development for signal generation, processing and interpretation. The course materials are tailored particularly for spacecraft and aircraft structure applications. Demonstrations of health monitoring systems for selected practical examples are presented during the course.
