Profile Summary

I am a researcher in Electrical Engineering Department at UCLA. my research interests are: Nano-Optics, Bio-Photonics, Non-conventional Thermal Emission, Polarization State Manipulation and Geometrical Phase. Surface Plasmon and Phonon Polaritons, Singular Optics, and Microscopy.

My expertise also includes design, realization, and theoretical, as well as experimental analysis of subwavelength elements and nano-structures. Furthermore, I have experience in microscopy and other optical systems. During the course of my research as post doctoral scholar, I was exposed to systems like near field optical microscopy, atomic force microscope, and Fourier transform infrared interferometer. I have also been studying, extensively, thermal emission in non conventional systems. My simulation expertise includes finite difference time domain analysis (FDTD), as well as Fourier optics analysis. I master Matlab and I have a vast experience in software engineering.

Specialties

Analysis and experimental experience in Polarization Optics, Plasmon and Phonon Polaritons, Singular Optics, Near Field Optics, Fourier Optics and Geometrical Optics, Cell and light interactions, Microscopy.
