Profile Summary

While working as a physician in 1991, I attempted to create a description of the nature and evolution of the Cosmos. I quickly realized that Einstein's building blocks of reality--mass-energy and space-time--were nothing but measurements, made by the observer, in his frame. As I had studied philosophy for many years, I recognized that this was subjectivism. Einstein had inherited an archaic spiritualistic epistemology from Bishop Berkeley, David Hume and Ernst Mach. He did not attempt to describe or to theorize about the physical Cosmos and its mechanisms. To try and explain gravity, I used basic Newtonian and Lorentzian ideas about inertial space, combined with Einstein's principle of equivalence. Inertial space itself must be accelerating Earthward. It must then also have a velocity. It took some years to find the data and papers I needed, but I realized that this inflow velocity is equal to Newton's escape velocity. This reproduces the successes of General Relativity in a much simpler, physically-meaningful way. ("See Beyond Relativity to Flowing Space"). This Flowing Space theory is the most promising first step we can take towards a new physics of space. Quantum Mechanics is also a subjectivistic system--concerned only with the observer's experiences. This philosophical sleight-of-hand has fooled physicists into believing that light is a flying particle--because its quantized interactions with matter are the only way we "see" light. The evidence instead requires light to be a wave in a medium--if we are to avoid contradictions. Observer-based Relativity and QM are anti-philosophical, and have contributed to the decline in our intellectual culture--our ability to create and criticize theories of the causes of things. They have restricted Science to the mere description of human experience. They must be replaced with natural philosophical physics--with theories about what exists and causes the phenomena. This brings us back to ether theory; space is a substance.
