PET/MRI combines two imaging modalities to produce hybrid images with advantageous quality. Combined images from PET/MRI present exquisite anatomical and structural details provided by MRI, and functional and molecular imaging from PET. To assess the quality of a state of the art preclinical PET/MRI nanoScan, performance evaluation was done according to National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) NU4-2008 standards [1]. Other evaluations were done with self-designed phantoms created through 3-D printing.
