James Carriere is currently the Product Line Manager for Coherent’s THz-Raman® product line. He has spent the last 10+ years developing the exciting new field of THz-Raman Spectroscopy, first as Director of Business Development at Ondax, then as PLM for Coherent after the acquisition of Ondax where he has focused on continuing to grow the product line. Through his efforts, THz-Raman has gained wide adoption within the pharmaceutical industry and is expanding to other markets. His responsibilities ranged from guiding the product design and applications development to sales and marketing, and the establishment and management of global distribution and OEM partnerships.

James earned his Ph.D. in Optical Sciences from The University of Arizona and received his Bachelors degree in Physics with Distinction from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
