Jinesh Mathew received the Ph.D. degree in photonics engineering from the Dublin Institute of Technology, Dublin, Ireland, in 2013. He is a Research Associate in the Applied Optics and Photonics Research Group of the Institute of photonics and Quantum Sciences in the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, U.K. He has more than eight years of research experience in the area of fiber-optic sensors and has published more than 35 journal and conference papers in this field. His current research interests include additive layer manufacturing of metallic structures with embedded fiber optic devices for high-temperature applications.
