Profile Summary

Krzysztof Borzycki received the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland in 1982, and Ph.D. degree in Communications Engineering from National Institute of Telecommunications (NIT), Warsaw, Poland in 2006. With NIT since 1982, except for work on DWDM equipment at Ericsson AB R&D Center in Stockholm, Sweden in 2001-2002. His current areas of activity include fiber access networks (FTTx), testing and standardization of fibers, cables and passive components, monitoring of fiber and copper cable networks, security of optical networks, and characterization of photonic crystal fibers (PCFs). He works also as instructor and lecturer at NIT in fiber optics, fiber testing and splicing. Dr Borzycki has participated in multiple European research programs, including COST-270, COST-299, COST TD1001 and NEMO. He is a NIT representative in the Polish National Standardization Committee - Cables and Fiber Optics Committees. He is currently an assistant professor at NIT Metrology Dept. (Z12)
