Profile Summary

My broad research area is: Pattern Recognition using Digital Image processing.
Recently, target detection software is prone to detect false target. So, target detection and the tracking for true target detection is an important area of research. My specific interest area is detection of targets. This includes recognition and detection of targets/ROI (Region Of Interest) region from a noisy image. Mostly I have worked with radar (SAR) images. Target detection is not limited with radar images, it can be done for Ground Penetrating Radar, bio medical image analysis for tumor detection and detection of civilian vehicles.
I try to develop effective algorithms for noise/clutter rejection, segmentation between target and non-target region, target feature evaluation and designing of effective classifier.
