There are some problems in optical education such as insufficient flexibility, individuality and adaptability to students who need information and education at present. The development of mobile internet and technology provides support to solve these problems. Basic characteristics, advantages and developments of these techniques used in education are presented in this paper. Mobile internet is introduced to reform the classroom teaching of optical courses. Mobile network tool selection, teaching resources construction and reform in teaching methods are discussed. Academic record and sampling surveys are used to assess intention to adopt mobile internet and learning effect of academic major of students, the results show that high quality optical education can be offered by adopting mobile internet and technologies in traditional instruction.
Dynamic detection of polarization states is very important for laser polarization coding guidance systems. In this paper, a
set of dynamic polarization decoding and detection system used in laser polarization coding guidance was designed.
Detection process of the normal incident polarized light is analyzed with Jones Matrix; the system can effectively detect
changes in polarization. Influence of non-normal incident light on performance of polarization decoding and detection
system is studied; analysis showed that changes in incident angle will have a negative impact on measure results, the
non-normal incident influence is mainly caused by second-order birefringence and polarization sensitivity effect
generated in the phase delay and beam splitter prism. Combined with Fresnel formula, decoding errors of linearly
polarized light, elliptically polarized light and circularly polarized light with different incident angles into the detector
are calculated respectively, the results show that the decoding errors increase with increase of incident angle. Decoding
errors have relations with geometry parameters, material refractive index of wave plate, polarization beam splitting
prism. Decoding error can be reduced by using thin low-order wave-plate. Simulation of detection of polarized light with
different incident angle confirmed the corresponding conclusions.
There are some problems in Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) steelmaking end-point control technology at present. A new
BOF end-point control model was designed, which was based on the character of carbon oxygen reaction in Basic
Oxygen Furnace steelmaking process. The image capture and transformation system was established by Video for
Windows (VFW) library function, which is a video software development package promoted by Microsoft Corporation.
In this paper, the Radial Basic Function (RBF) neural network model was established by using the real-time acquisition
information. The input parameters can acquire easily online and the output parameter is the end-point time, which can
compare with the actual value conveniently. The experience results show that the predication result is ideal and the
experiment results show the model can work well in the steelmaking adverse environment.
