Profile Summary

Dr. Nagendra Kumar is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Ophthalmology, Stanford University. He completed his PhD in 2022 in experimental optics from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India where he developed a grating based zonal wavefront sensor using a computer-generated holography technique on a liquid crystal spatial light modulator. He received his MSc in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India, in 2015 and Bachelor in Physics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, in 2013. His current research work involves the implementation of Ophthalmic wavefront sensor in an adaptive optics system for human eye application. He has published several research papers in international peer reviewed journals during his PhD work. In addition, he received leadership training serving as a president of SPIE IIT Guwahati student chapter.
