I am Pharmacist with Ph.D. in Medical Pathophysiology (Structural Biology, Cell, Molecular and Development - State University of Campinas, Brazil). Currently I am holding a position as Research Scientist by the University of Sao Paulo. As the leader in two laboratories (microbial control and culture cells) on Biophotonics Group, I am investigating the effects and specificity of different nanostructured photosensitizers on tumor cell death and microbial control, the nanodelivery of these compounds for a better clinical protocols especially for non-melanoma skin cancer and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia treatments, and combined therapies for antifouling strategies in materials and in patients (would healing).
