1. Ultrafast time-resolved XUV photoelectron spectroscopy (PES) of materials for solar energy conversion:
- Injection kinetics at dye-sensitized semiconductor interfaces
- Relaxation dynamics of transition-metal coordination complexes in solutions
- Photoinduced charge separation dynamics in carbon nitride

2. Advanced light scattering techniques for studying the dynamics of disordered materials:
- Low-frequency Raman spectroscopic monitoring of supramolecular structure in H-bonded liquids
- Research of nanosized inhomogeneities in H-bonded liquids using sophisticated light scattering techniques
- Application of temperature-dependent fluorescent dyes to the measurement of microwave absorption in water

3. Free space laser communications:
- Development of a highly stable laser system for advanced free space communications
- Investigation of characteristics of a laser beam for laser optical communication system
