Profile Summary

I am a physicist specializing in the development of instrumentation for astronomy at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. I currently hold the position of Instrument System Engineer. I managed the development of the photon counting camera systems for the Roman Coronagraph Instrument, a flight technology development. I was also the Project Scientist and optical designer for the Keck Cosmic Web Imager, a facility instrument of the W. M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii. I was previously Co-Investigator for the NASA GALEX Small Explorer satellite, which surveyed the UV sky for 10 years from 2003-2013, and for which I was awarded a NASA engineering medal in 2008. I enjoy challenging instrumentation programs for astronomy and planetary space missions, with a focus on flight implementation.
