Physicist with experience of designing electro-optical instrumentation for ground-based telescopes. Particular specialisation is silicon-based sensors (CCDs and CMOS) with performance optimised for astronomical use.
Previously Head of instrumentation department at Royal Greenwich Observatory. Designed, built and operated cryogenic imaging and spectroscopic cameras. Currently application specialist in Space Imaging Division at Teledyne e2v dealing with space and astronomy business. PhD, FRAS.
