Profile Summary

I was born in Mexico City. I obtained a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree in 2004; a Master of Computer Science and Engineering degree in 2007; and a Doctor of Engineering degree in 2013, all with honors, from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. I worked as a postdoc at Czech Technical University in Prague under supervision of Prof. Jan Kybic from 2014 to 2017. Currently, I hold a Junior R&T Associate position at Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology. I am also a member of the National Research System (CONACYT : Level C, 2015-2017 and Level 1, 2018-2020).

My research interests include bio-inspired image models, image fusion, image quality, textures, and wavelets.
