Profile Summary

I am a postdoctoral research fellow (1851 Royal Commission Research Fellow) in Imperial College London since Oct 2011. My current interest focuses on the Casimir effects, quantum frictions and heat transfer between nanoparticles as well as the optical properties of nanoparticles at extreme scales, and chiral metaterials. I has published 27 papers (h-index: 10) in the areas of Casimir (van der Waals) forces and quantum frictions, chiral metamaterials, electromagnetic forces, photonic crystal and plasmonics. He received his PhD in Jan 2011 in physics from Beijing Normal University, China. From Sept 2008 to Sept 2010, he did his PhD research in Iowa State University & Ames Laboratory as a visiting student. From Feb 2011 to Sept 2011, he was postdoctoral research associate in Iowa State University.
