This paper aims at surveying the options of powering an Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) with renewable sources that
scavenge energy from the environment. Some of the technologies that are discussed include solar power, wind power
and energy from waves. Some conclusions and recommendations regarding the state-of-the-art for developing an energy
scavenging unmanned surface vehicle are tabulated.
