We propose a multi-object content delivery method for use in a
ubiquitous environment where many nodes are connected. In our target applications, a node receive multiple objects from multiple nodes to display content. We assume that each object is encoded by multiple description coding (MDC) and copies of the descriptions are stored in multiple nodes. We determine the quality of each object based on user requirements and the network bandwidth available for use by nodes. In addition, to reduce the impact of node removal, sending nodes are selected using a heuristic algorithm that reduces the number of overlapping nodes in the delivery path. Experimental results show that our method could determine the quality of objects, the sending nodes, and efficient delivery paths within a reasonable time.
