Profile Summary

Dr. Hode started his career in Sweden in the early 90s, working with medical laser education, manufacturing and sales. He later took a PhD at Stockholm University, Sweden, focusing on microanalytical development for applications in space and planetary science, and then moved to the USA on a post-doc to study the development and structure of microbial biofilms. Dr. Hode subsequently returned to industry and co-founded Immunophotonics Inc, and currently holds the role of President and Chief Innovation Officer, where he is overseeing all the technical aspects of the company, and driving innovation. Additionally, Dr. Hode is the chairman of a medical device company in Sweden, is a program committee member of the “Biophotonics and Immune Responses” conference of SPIE, and was previously a board member of the Missouri Biotechnology Association (MOBIO).
