Profile Summary

He is the owner and founder of Oengineering SRL, OE, a company dedicated to the investigation, development and production of new opto-electronic solutions (strong competency on optical communications, adaptive optics, wavefront sensors and smart optics). These solutions are part of the collaboration with private and public entities or they are fully developed inside OE as spinf-off products.

He is also one of the founders of Adaptica SRL, specialised in diagnostic instruments design and production with primary focus on ophthalmology.

He is the founder and manager for more than 10 years of Ing. Tommaso Occhipinti consulting company, specialised in feasibility study, research project and development of innovative solutions for local industries and public entities (solutions in medical imaging software development, opto-electronics and smart cameras, forensic software and high demanding video surveillance solutions).

He received his PhD in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Padova (Italy) and a Master in Telecommunication Economics and Technologies.

During the PhD he was part of large international research projects in (quantum) astronomy making special instrumentation for ESO (European Southern Observatory) and he studied and developed a free space quantum key distribution system (QKD).

He is the member of SPIE and IEEE and contributed to the research community with many works, conference talks and papers in collaboration with research institutions in Italy and abroad.
