Profile Summary

Currently, I am working as Scientist in PHILIPS Research Asia Bangalore.
My job is to ideate and think of improving healthcare by means of computer automation. The ideas revolve around clinical decision support, Image analysis, Patient care cycle etc.

At present, I have filed fifteen inventions Disclosure till now. Four of them are being filed as patent (Three more will be filed soon) and six of them got published as prior art.
I have also published seven papers in reputed international conferences and journals.
My main strengths are idea creation, state-of-the-art understanding, prototype development and solving challanges.

I am a member of IEEE.

In the past, I worked as Lead Research Engineer in CTT -India (SIEMENS). My research areas were Medical Image Segmentation, Patient Positioning tracking and monitoring systems for Oncology, Pattern recognition and Computer Vision. The main focus in my current organization is on working with different problems which can add value to the medical diagnositics or assist clinicians to make better decisions.

I got a very good exposure to different imaging modalities.
I have got special interest in medical image segmentation, morphological Image processing, character recognition based on structural features.
I have supervised five interns in the areas on image segmentation, text recognition and image processing protoptype in android platform.

Earlier, I have gained experience in the field of Document
Image Processing.
As a part of M.E thesis, I developed novel method for detection and recognition of Kannada Language from signboards. It is a great assistance to many non-kannada People staying in Karnataka.

I also have good understanding of Speech processing and Video indexing. My carrer goals are directed to build my technical expertise and tangible contribution to the organization as well as society. I want to work on the challanging projects in which my technical strengths can be put in to use.
