Profile Summary

William Jerome Tomlinson, Jr. holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University. Currently William is pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, where he has earned the designation of GEM Draper Lab Fellow.

As a GEM Draper Lab Fellow, the center focus of William's Doctoral research is governed by The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. The benefits of such a program also provide William with the option to also take courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

William's primary research interests are centered around developing hardware and software systems for wireless communication, spanning into such areas as digital signal processing, mobile and wireless networking, sensor networks (special emphasis on ultrasound), and system design and modeling.
