I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at Northwestern University, with an expected graduation date of December 2014. My graduate research has focused on the synthesis and characterization of organic molecules capable of generating unpaired electron spins upon photoexcitation. This work involves a variety of subjects and specialties:

Synthetic organic chemistry
-Synthesis of molecules with applications in solar energy and molecular spintronics

Physical chemistry studies
-Time-resolved visible and NIR transient absorption (TA) experiments
-Time-resolved electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) experiments

Nanosecond laser systems
-Design and construction of multi-experiment nanosecond laser table
-Regular laser maintenance
-Layout and maintenance of laser optics

Computational chemistry clusters
-Use of quantum packages such as QChem and TeraChem for DFT
-Design and construction of multi-node computing cluster
-Maintenance of cluster management software
