Abstract
Visual studies have shown that human eyes have mechanisms including micro-movements and super-resolution (SR) information acquisition when gazing at a fixed target. However, the causality between these two mechanisms has not been theoretically clarified. To explore the quantitative relationship between eye micro-movements (EMms) and SR image information acquisition, we propose a novel SR infrared image information acquisition model. In the proposed model, the real visual neuron is simulated by MP artificial neuron, which can generate an output signal when it receives input signal exceeding the threshold of the activated MP neuron. The experimental results illustrate that the perceived infrared image details are more clear and accurate with EMms modes than that with eye motionlessness mode, presenting the SR information acquisition feature.
