Abstract
This article demonstrates the background information about the surgical soft robot at the beginning, showing clearly the developing history of surgical soft robots. Then the article discusses and explains the material, actuation, sensing and manipulation of the surgical soft robot in depth. What’s more, the specific applications of minimally invasive surgery are demonstrated, as well. At last, there are some challenges and problems reflecting that we still have a long road to go in designing better and better surgical soft robots.
