Abstract
In the development of modern industry and the harmonious coexistence of human society and nature, fires often occur due to various accidents and negligence. Such accidents are extremely detrimental to social development. Compared to traditional smoke detectors, video-based smoke detection can achieve non-contact detection without the need for sensor installation, reducing equipment costs and installation difficulties, making it an important development direction. Video smoke detection based on SSIM (Structure Similarity Index Measure) has the advantage of being simple and easy to implement and can perform well in some simple scenarios. However, it may have a high rate of false positives in complex scenes. Therefore, in this paper, the algorithm is improved by using texture features for further detection, improving the accuracy of detection and increasing the innovation of the algorithm. The experiments show that the improved algorithm achieves good results.
