Abstract
The flight management system is the core module of the avionics system of large civil aircraft, and lateral navigation is one of its important functions, which can assist the pilot in realizing the fully automatic flight of the aircraft and improving the economy and safety of the aircraft flight. In this paper, a model of large civil aircraft dynamics is studied, and the model of lateral navigation guidance algorithm is built in MATLAB/Simulink. The model use PID, cascade PID, and cascade fuzzy PID controllers to steer the aircraft towards the direction of reducing cross track distance respectively, and finally it is verified in the flight management semi-physical simulation system. The result demonstrates that the lateral navigation function algorithm can complete the navigation task and meet the flight requirements of RNP0.1, which has practical engineering applications.
