Abstract
With the development of GIS, more and more application systems have turned from 2D to 3D, and the construction of 3D virtual scene has gradually become a research hotspot. This paper proposes a technical route and method to construct the 3D virtual ocean scene based on Skyline, and discusses the potential publication way of the scene. Multi-source image data integration method is introduced to solve the problem of low efficiency of organization and management of massive image data. Meanwhile, virtual basic terrain model, virtual island and coastal zone model, virtual seabed surface model and virtual sea surface model are built and integrated to display the complete panoramic ocean sphere. The constructed 3D virtual ocean scene can be regarded as a carrier for marine information visualization and has been applied in many marine application systems.
