Sendy Phang was born in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1988. He received the BEng degree in engineering physics with first class honours, from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Bandung, Indonesia in 2010, the MSc degree in electromagnetic design and PhD degree from the University of Nottingham in 2011 and 2016, respectively. His research interests includes electromagnetics theory in particular of light-matter interaction, metamaterials, photonic crystals, PT structure in optics and its applications.
