We present a metasurface design that works as a helicity preserving mirror. To engineer the metasurface, we employed an inversion scheme based on approximation theory, combining a forward solver with a heuristic optimization method. The design was tested through numerical simulations and, employing a Mueller matrix formalism, we show that at the design wavelength the proposed structure reflects both left and right circular polarizations without changing their helicity.
